Our fixed-price interior painting packages are designed for standard rooms that are in generally sound condition. Each package clearly explains what is included, what is excluded and the maximum room size covered.

All prices include GST, preparation, premium paint, labour, surface protection and cleanup.

Fixed-Price Painting Packages

Standard Bedroom — Walls Only

$990 including GST

A professional repaint of the walls in one standard bedroom.

Included

• Bedroom up to 3.5 metres × 3.5 metres

• Ceiling height up to 2.7 metres

• Two coats of premium Dulux or Haymes wall paint

• One standard wall colour

• Minor filling of small nail holes and surface imperfections

• Light sanding of painted surfaces

• Caulking of minor gaps where required

• Protection of floors and remaining furniture

• Clean up and removal of painting rubbish

• Spot sealing where required

Each room includes:

Each bedroom must be no larger than 3.5 metres × 3.5 metres with a ceiling height of no more than 2.7 metres.

What Is Included in Our Fixed Prices?

Unless otherwise stated, our fixed-price packages include:

• Labour

• GST

• Filling of small nail holes and minor imperfections

• Light sanding

• Drop sheets and surface protection

• Standard brushes, rollers and painting equipment

• Cleanup at the completion of the work

• Removal of normal painting rubbish

Our prices are based on repainting previously painted surfaces that are in generally sound condition.

Fixed-Price Eligibility

To qualify for an advertised fixed price, the room must meet the following conditions:

• The room is within the published size limit.

• The ceiling height is no greater than 2.7 metres.

• The surfaces have previously been painted.

• The existing paint is generally sound and well-adhered.

• The room has no active water leaks.

• The room has no significant mould contamination.

• There is no wallpaper requiring removal.

• There are no extensive cracks, holes or damaged plaster.

• The room is reasonably clear and accessible.

• Large or fragile items have been removed where possible.

• The selected colours provide normal coverage over the existing colours.

• The property is located within our normal service area.

• Photos and measurements are supplied before booking.

We will review your information before confirming the booking.

If your room does not meet the fixed-price conditions, we will explain why and provide a separate quote before any work is scheduled.

When Additional Charges May Apply

Additional charges may apply when work falls outside the package description, including:

• Major plaster repairs

• Extensive cracking

• Peeling, bubbling or flaking paint

• Water damage

• Mould removal or mould treatment

• Nicotine staining

• Heavy grease or contamination

• Wallpaper removal

• Very dark or bright colour changes

• More than one wall colour

• Feature walls

• High ceilings

• Stairwells

• Timber windows

• French doors

• Decorative trim

• Detailed cabinetry

• Built-in shelving

• Extensive furniture moving

• Restricted access

• After-hours or urgent work

Any additional cost will be discussed and approved before the work begins.

There will be no unexpected additions to the agreed price unless the customer requests additional work or previously concealed damage becomes visible.

How the Fixed-Price Process Works

Send clear photos showing:

• Each wall

• The ceiling

• Doors and frames

• Wardrobe doors

• Skirting boards

• Any cracks, peeling, mould or damage

• The room entrance and general access

4. We Check Eligibility

McGlashan Painting will review the measurements, photos and property location.

5. Your Price Is Confirmed

We will confirm whether the advertised package applies or provide an adjusted quote if additional work is required.

6. Book Your Painting Date

Once the price and scope are approved, a deposit secures your booking.

7. We Complete the Work

Your room is professionally prepared, painted and cleaned in accordance with the agreed package.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the advertised price guaranteed?

The price is fixed once we have reviewed your photos and measurements and confirmed that the room meets the package conditions.

Can I book without an onsite quote?

Many standard rooms can be approved using measurements and clear photos. An onsite inspection may still be required when the room has damage, access issues, mould, water staining or unusual features.

Is paint included?

Yes. Premium Dulux or Haymes paint is included unless otherwise stated.

Is GST included?

Yes. All advertised package prices include GST.

Can I choose the colour?

Yes. The package includes the number of colours stated in the description. Additional colours or feature walls may involve an extra charge.

What happens if the walls need repairs?

Minor filling is included. Larger cracks, damaged plaster, extensive peeling and water damage are assessed separately.

Does the room need to be empty?

The room does not always need to be completely empty, but small items should be removed and furniture should be moved away from the walls. Excessive furniture moving may incur an additional charge.

Do the packages include mould removal?

No. Mould treatment is a specialised service and must be assessed separately. Painting directly over active mould does not resolve the underlying problem.

Are wardrobe interiors included?

No. Wardrobe interiors are excluded unless specifically listed in the written scope of work.

Can you paint an entire house at a fixed price?

Whole-house painting requires an individual quote because house sizes, layouts, surface conditions and inclusions vary considerably. Our published fixed prices can still help customers estimate the likely cost of standard bedrooms and smaller rooms.
